CANADA IN THE ROUGH made another trip here to Dog Lake Resort / Black Bear Adventure near Thunder Bay Ontario

BEAR DOWN !! 

Kevin did not have to wait long. Just under 5 minutes later, the big boar returned into view. Kevin waited anxiously as the bear took its time heading towards the bait. A nerve-wracking 8 minutes passed before the bear crossed 60 yards to the clearing, finally getting near the bait. This was Kevin's opportunity. As soon as the bear took a step to turn and presented a great quartering-away shot, Kevin pulled the triggered and hit true. The bear did not go more than 40 yards before going down.

What a bear! Kevin was amazed when he reached the bear, admiring the massive pumpkin and beautiful spring coat. This was truly an exciting hunt and one Kevin will always remember.
